Eight Howard University students participated in the summer 2016 internship and scholarship program. They worked in four markets – Atlanta, Detroit, Chicago and Washington, D.C. – at National Newspaper Publishers Association (NNPA) member papers. The students developed content across multiple platforms to cover communities in the four cities with storytelling that reflected people and issues across a range of topics.
