GERMANY EMBASSY YOUNG JOURNALIST PROGRAM
SOC Students Olivia Phifer (Broadcast Journalism) and Bianca Sullivan (Legal Communications) completed the German Embassy's Young Journalist Washington Program. They were part of a group of students from universities in Germany, Columbia, UNC Chapel Hill, and Berkeley that spent a week in workshops on media and society in the U.S. and Germany.   Howard is the only HBCU invited to participate in the program.   The students also visited The Washington Post, Voice of America and NPR.   This fall the embassy will host another program in which the American students selected will travel to Germany.  Follow the link to a package Olivia produced about her experience.
